Karnataka Sangh of Goregaon Celebrates 53rd Anniversary of ‘Nadahabba’

Mumbai, Oct 12:
Karnataka Sangh of suburban Goregaon celebrated the 53rd celebrations of ‘Nadahabba’, the cultural extravaganza of Karnataka, at Bangur Nagar auditorium, Goregaon (West), on Sunday October 10.
 
Vartak Nagar Kannada Sangh former president Polya Umesh Shetty presided over the celebrations.


 


Attur Shivaram K Bhandary, managing director, Shiva’s Hair Designers Private Limited, was the chief guest while veteran Yakshagana Bhagavat K K Shetty was the guest of honour on the occasion.
 
‘A S Navada Yakshagana Award’ was conferred on Chikkayya Shetty during the programme.
 
Goregaon Karnataka Sangh former presidents Ravi Ra Anchan, S M Shetty, Ramesh K Shetty, Hiriyanna Shetty, Laxmi R Shetty, Padmaja Mannoor, and Vidhya Deshpande were present on the dais.
 
Current president G T Acharya welcomed the gathering.  Joint secretary Gunodaya L proposed the vote of thanks.  Honorary chief secretary Sacchindra K Kotian compered the programme. 
 
Yakshagana play ‘Bhakta Sudhavya’ was staged by the artistes of Geetambika Yakshagana Mandal of central suburban Ghatkopar along with various cultural programmes by the talented children of the Sangh.
