Sullia, Sep 16: The missing case of Chembu gram panchayat (GP) member Kamala ended in a tragic twist. The mortal remains of Kamala (35) and Mutthu (50), who also went missing along with her were found hanging from a tree.
Both Mutthu and Kamala went missing from the evening of Wednesday, September 15. It was said that Kamala was pushed from the bridge during a visit. However, both the bodies of Kamala and Mutthu are found hanging from a tree. Mutthu was Kamala’s relative. It is suspected that they hung themselves.
A case in this connection is registered at Madikeri rural police station. Police visited the spot and investigated further.

Sullia, Sep 16: A lady gram panchayat member reportedly was pushed down into the river flowing below from a bridge by a man. After the incident, the lady gram panchayat member as well as the man who pushed her down have gone missing.
As per reports, Chembu gram panchayat member in Madikeri taluk, Dabbadka Kamala, was walking along with some others on Wednesday September 15 evening to attend a programme near her home, when a neighbour named Mutthu pushed her down from the Dabbadka bridge all of a sudden.
The gram panchayat member as well as Mutthu went missing thereafter. There is no trace of Kamala. There are rumours that after Kamala fell down, Mutthu would have got down and physically carried her into the forest.
