Mangaluru, Sep 15: Bajrang Dal (BD) state convener (Dakshina Prantha) Sunil K R condemned the incident in Nanjangud, Mysuru where Adhi Shakthi Sri Mahadevamma Byraveshwara temple was demolished in compliance with the court order.
Addressing a press meet, on Wednesday September 15, he demanded the suspension of Mysuru deputy commissioner (DC) and Nanjangud tahsildar. In this regard, the Bajrang Dal will hold protests on Thursday September 16 in Udupi, Mangaluru, and Puttur, he added.
He alleged that officials have demolished the temple without serving any notice or making alternate facilities. “This has hurt the sentiments of Hindus. Only a prominent temple was targeted. It is clear that anti-Hindu officials are behind this. They should be probed.
“There may be any government in power. The hindu organisations will protest, when Hindu religious centers are attacked,” he said.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad district president Vishnu Murthy Acharaya, district vice-president Ashok Palya and Bajrang Dal district convener Surendra Koteshwar and others were present.
