Riyadh, Sep 6: Buraidha unit of Indian Social Forum (ISF) of the Kingdom helped to repatriate the mortal remains of a native of Uttar Pradesh who died in Saudi Arabia due to heart attack.
Rehan Khan (31), native of Uttar Pradesh, who was employed in a steel company of Buraidha, died of cardiac arrest on July 25. The news of his death was making rounds on social media saying that his mortal remains are kept in the mortuary of Buraidha central hospital due to incomplete documents to repatriate the same to India.
Indian Social Forum which came across this post on social media, immediately contacted the family members of the deceased in Uttar Pradesh with the cooperation of Rashid Ucchila and Jamaluddin Pandel, of Buraidha Unit of the forum and collected vital documents required for the repatriation of the mortal remains to India. Indian Social Forum also contacted the Indian consulate and local government offices and set all documents right and repatriated the mortal remains of Rehan on September 3.
Indian Social Forum expressed its deep condolences over the death of Rehan Khan. In turn, Khan’s family has expressed gratitude for the noble work done by the forum.
