Chikkamagaluru, Aug 25: BJP national general secretary, C T Ravi, lampooned the Congress leaders by commenting that in Congress, to be eligible for promotion, one has to go to jail and indulge in corruption. He was responding to the questions raised by media persons on Tuesday August 24 about former minister Vinay Kulkarni, meeting KPCC president D K Shivakumar, on his release from prison on bail.
"In the past, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, had said that goondas should be given priority. KPCC president D K Shivakumar, is thinking on the lines in which he himself grew up. Corruption is intrinsic to the political system of the Congress. Goondaism is a positive quality there for getting promotion. Therefore the leaders have accepted this trait as a model," he reasoned.
At the same time, C T Ravi urged the central government to name the toilets built under the Swachh Bharat campaign after Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "Building 13 crore toilets in India and thereby preserving the honour of the ladies is not a thing that can be termed as shameful," he stated.
