Bantwal, Aug 24: “BJP is adopting the policies of division and we should be ready to campaign against it,” said Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) media analyst Bhavya Narasimhamurthy. She was speaking in the programme of ladies executive and Rakshabhandan held by Bantwal and Panemangalore block Mahila Congress.
“One crore people are losing jobs per month. The government at the centre divides the country to obtain votes and is renaming the schemes brought about by Congress. The country is in grief because of coronavirus. Rapes have increased. Pain and sufferings have occurred in the name of protests. There is a need for revolution in order to give something new to politics,” she said.
KPCC Bantwal in charge Savita Ramesh suggested bringing to Congress stream women working in various sectors. “Women will be in the forefront if they remain in the party,” she said.
Former minister B Ramanath Rai conveyed his wishes.
District Congress president Shalet Pinto, KPCC members Mamatha Gatty, Veena Bhat, Bantwal block Congress president Baby Kunder, Panemangalore block Congress president Sudeep Kumar Shetty, district panchayat former president M S Mohammed, Chandraprakash Shetty and Padmashekar Jain were present.
