Moodbidri, Aug 24: D'Costa Saw Mill showroom and administrative office was blessed by Fr Sylvester D'Costa, parish priest of Karnad, Mmulki church. The showroom at Mulki was inaugurated by Umanath Kotian MLA, Moodbidri.
The Hejamadi office was inaugurated by former Moodbidri MLA Abhayachandra Jain and blessed by Fr Sylvester D’Costa parish priest of Karnad Mulki. All the guests were welcomed by Paul Rolphi D’Costa, owner of D'Costa Saw Mill.
The guests present were Fr Sylvester D’Costa, parish priest, Karnad, Anantha Asranna, purohit, Kateel Durgaparameshwari Temple, Janaab Ismile Daarimi, Islamic scholar of jumma masjid, Karnad, Fr Francis Xavier Gomes, former principal of St Philomena College Puttur, Umanath Kotian, Moodbidri MLA, Lalaji R Mendon, Kaup MLA, Abhayachandra Jain, former MLA of Moodbidri, Joylus D'Souza, president of Christian Development Society, Dharmadarshi Harikrishna Punaroor, former president of Kannada Sahitya Parishad, Walter D'Souza, former government official, Pranesh Hejamady, panchayat president of Hejamadi, Chandrashaker Puthran, owner of Puthran Complex, Kote Shekabha, correspondent Al'hazer English medium high school Hejamady, and Cyprian Monteiro, deputy director of education department. After the welcome programme, guests at the dais planted a few saplings.Kumari Divya, manager of D’Costa Saw Mill Hejamady, Ravindra, pigmi collector Hejamady, Shekabha, Chandrashekar Putran, and Divakar Hejamady were felicitated.

During the programme, host Rolphy D'Costa, Maria D’Costa, Clinton Cutinho, Romia D’Costa and Romson D'Costa were present.
This organisation has been donating planks and firewood for cremation, veneration, coffins for funerals, and financial help for marriages of poor people of all communities.
They have also been celebrating Vanamahotsava every year by planting saplings.
