Mumbai (RBI), Aug 18: The Hindi Academy hosted the Mathrubhumi Bhushan award-giving ceremony at the Jal Bhushan Convention Center in the governors official headquarters here on Wednesday at Malabar Hill.
Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari presented the awards to the veterans of the armed forces in various fields, including the Mathrubhumi Bhushan, Shiksha Bhushan, Sahitya Bhushan and the Social Service Bhushan.
In the presence of former Maharashtra government home minister Kripa Shankar Singh and other dignitaries with Governor Koshyari, is an expert in education, director, Ryan International Group of Institutions madam Dr Grace Pinto received the 'Shiksha Bhushan' award.
Veeranari Dr Kantha Mukherjee, Veera Nari Karjin Mogul, wife of the late Lt Cdr Firdaus Mogul of the Indian Navy Submarine, GP Captain Triloki Bhatara, Subedar Vinayak Upadhyay, master chief M Prasad, Major Prajal Jadhav, Captain KP Haridasan, Commander Vijay Wadhera, Sarjat Dattatreya Arjun Utekar and Commander B B Mistry were honored with the "Mathrubhumi Bhushan Award.
Similarly, Maya Shankar Chaubey, Pius Shukla, Saurabh Pandey won the Shiksha Bhushan award, Yugaraj Jain received the Sahitya Bhushan award, Rajabahu Sheth, Dr Mukesh Gautam, Prashanth Pulwane, Praveen Roy, Kamlesh Nahar receives the Bhushan award And Dr Prakash Jadhav, Dr Balanath Chakor, Dr Anand Pandey, Vedhika Chaubey and Umesh Pandey were honored with the awards. The President of the Hindi Academy Dr Pramod Pandey and vice president Alok Chaubey, director, Ryan International Group of Institutions Dr Snehal Pinto and other dignitaries were present and greeted the awardees.
