Mangaluru, Aug 18: Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Electronics and Information Technology, Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Wednesday August 18, said that his main intention is to provide employments for youths in the country.
He was speaking in a press meet held in the city on the occasion of BJP’s Janasheervada Yatra. He said, “I intend to provide jobs to youth under my ministerial portfolio. I graduated in computer engineering at Manipal. Therefore, I have excellent rapport with the people here and it is my duty to help them. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has asked for an IT park for the district. I will try my best to provide it. IT technology has a big scope in the country. The technology should improve further in the country after the Covid pandemic. Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi had set in motion BharatNet project before the onset of the pandemic. We have the responsibility to make it reach the people.
“We have planned to make internet reach 5,000 villages. The intention of BharatNet was different before Covid but internet is necessary for everybody in India after the pandemic. Internet is being used for everything including the Aarogya Setu app. I have already allowed my ministry to study internet communication. There should be progress in communication. Becoming leaders of the world in communication is the mission of PM Modi. The dream of digital villages is the pilot project of the government. Internet connection to every village in Karnataka is the goal of the project. We have selected a village in each district for the purpose. Digital village project has already started,” he said.
BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel, district in-charge minister S Angara, Dakshina Kannada BJP president Sudarshan Moodbidri and others were present.
