Kundapur, Aug 16: Well-equipped oxygen plant is ready to use in the government hospital of the taluk, which was named as the best in the state in treating Covid-infected patients during the first and second wave of coronavirus pandemic.
The ultra-modern plant is built at a cost of Rs 60 lac. The contract of building the plant was given to GAIL. The operation and maintenance of the plant will be taken care of by a private company of Noida origin. These units are built in Kundapur as well as Basavakalyan of Bidar.
The team of doctors of the hospitals is striving hard to provide medical treatment to Covid-infected patients under the leadership of Dr Robert Rebello, administrative medical officer and Dr Nagesh, Covid nodal medical officer. District administration, taluk administration, district health department are supporting the hospital in all senses. People representatives and the public also gave important suggestions and medical equipment as donations. Minister Shobha Karandlaje also put her efforts in building this oxygen plant.
