Mumbai, Sep 24: Vile Parle MLA Krishna Hegde on Wednesday September 22 visited the house of 26/11 bomb blast victim Shyam Sunder Choudhary and handed over a cheque of Rs 50,000 to his wife Baby Choudhary.
“I decided to give my one month’s MLA salary to the family as they are in dire straits and require financial support urgently”, said Hegde.
He added, “I have created a group on Facebook (Shyam Sunder Chaudhary’s Donors) and sent a request to all my friends so that they can donate generously by drawing cheques in favor of Shyam Sunder Choudhary. I would also like to thank the media who have highlighted this case and financial support has started pouring in for Choudhary from across the country and even abroad”.
The Maharashtra Government has already given Rs 1.5 lac as compensation to Choudhary’s family. Hegde has also written to Choudhary’s employer to provide compensation to his family and help them with a job in the company. Hegde has also spoken to ITC Hotels to provide Baby Choudhary a job if possible.
