Chikkamagaluru, Aug 14: “People of Congress party are irate because I spoke about Hookah bar to be started in their party office. Whether smoking of Hookah by Jawaharlal Nehru was wrong or mention of the same by me is wrong? If what I said is wrong, is not smoking Hookah by Nehru was also wrong?” questioned C T Ravi, BJP national chief secretary.
Speaking to the media, Ravi said, “Shall I display the photocopies of old speeches of Siddaramaiah, who says that what I have spoken about Nehru and Indira Gandhi is wrong, about Indira Gandhi? Shall I say what C M Ibrahim had said about Indira Gandhi? I have not stooped down to that level.
“I have read the tweets. Members of Congress have crossed the culture while speaking against me. I am not a drunkard. They labelled me like that. They consume liquor every day. Should I dig out their old stories? I am a volunteer of RSS and not a disciple of Kothwal Ramachandra,” he said.
Responding to the question of his wife Pallavi Ravi nominated as the city unit vice president of BJP Mahila morcha, Ravi said, “My wife Pallavi has been a BJP activist for many years. She is half of my strength in personal as well as political life. I will not allow her to contest elections. I am always against dynasty politics.”
