Mangalore, Sep 20: On behalf of Vishwa Hindu Parishat and Bajrang Dal, special puja and prayers had been organized in various temples in the city on Sunday September 19, seeking the divine intervention for creating an atmosphere that is conducive for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The High Court in Allahabad is scheduled to deliver its verdict in Ayodhya dispute on September 24.
Chanting of Hanuman Chalisa by groups of devotees, and launching of a signature campaign to urge the union government to bring in legislation to facilitate the construction of a temple for Lord Ram in Ayodhya, were the other programmes undertaken on the occasion.
Pujas were performed in Sri Mahalingeshwar temple in Pandeshwar, Lord Manjunatheshwara temple in Kadri, Lord Mukhyaprana temple in Bajilkeri Bunder, besides others. Divisional convener of Bajrang Dal, Sharan Pumpwell, Providincial Goraksha convener, Vinay L Shetty, Jagadish Shenava, Srikar Prabhu, Shivanand Mendon and Gopal Kuttar were among those present at the programmes.
