Kasargod, Sep 20: A boy travelling in an auto rickshaw was killed and four others injured, when the driver of the rickshaw in question tried to stay clear of a pack of dogs, which suddenly crossed the road in front of his vehicle. The incident occurred on Sunday September 19 at Karivellore village on national highway 17.
When the driver suddenly tried to navigate his rickshaw away from the dogs, he lost control over it. The vehicle tumbled, killing a boy named Ismail (5), son of P P Salim, living near Vellore Palattara mosque in Cheruvattur, on the spot. Mother of the boy, M T P Zeenat (28), his sister, Nabisat (7), a relative named Salma (25) and auto driver, Faizal (26) were injured. All the injured were admitted into a hospital.
