Riyadh, Jul 29: A new updated circular is issued to both private and public airlines operating from the kingdom with regards to the procedure of travel to other countries. This was issued by GACA (The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation).
According to the new updated circular the airlines can only carry passengers who have taken both doses of one of the vaccines approved by the authority of Saudi. This is not applicable for passengers below the age of 12 years. However, passengers under the age of 12 are required to provide an insurance document issued by Saudi central bank that covers the risk of Covid infection that might arise in other countries.
The new order also allows the citizens of the country who got infected with coronavirus more than six months ago but have taken at least one dose of the vaccine and those who have recovered from the illness less than six months to travel abroad.
The measures are continuous efforts put by GACA to ensure health and safety of all passengers travelling through the airports of the Kingdom. The new updates will be effective from August 9.
Safety requirements and preventive measures specified by GACA have to be adhered to by all concerned authorities and airline companies that operate from the airport of Saudi Arabia.
