In jail the other inmates have their own justice system - So child molesters - cruelty to women - other heinous acts etc are usually handed internal justice - beatings - other physical assault - often with police blessing -- IN NIRBHAYA - with repeated torture one of the perpetrators committed suicide unable to bear abuse--

We take the birth of our daughter as a receipt of God's gift. We bring her up with love and affection. Then are we giving her in marriage to be assaulted and sometimes killed by her mad husband ? No, this practice should be stopped. But, what to ? Our daughters are not sufficiently educated to stand by their own. The boys learn the domestic violence from their own homes. The dowry system is another root cause for violence and murder of brides. Main problem is, by the time a father gets his daughter married, he has either a large debt or zero bank balance and he has no capacity to fight with son-in-law or go to police station to complain. In such a situation, our God's gift, the daughter becomes a sacrificial lamb in hands of her in laws house. The person here should get such a sentence that in future, men should realize that the law in the country means business.

Santhan Mascarenhas Bangalore,How bad one feels as this innocent lady simply lost her life in husbands hand. Not any disease ,not corona ,but husbands thrashing took her life .Sadly in India men think it is their birth right to threat wife /women ,for any simple or big problems,or without too.when cooking is not of their taste, not making sambar as lately one mother died in sons hand ,not bearing a son,etc etc.In no other country men treat women with so bad.Sometimes son sees how father treat women, scold .Mostly educated ones dont so.or less.Drink and thrash is another problem by lower class men who work ,go directly to bar ,come home when wife waits for money or food to bring,he waits she cooks and keep ready .From where it comes matters little to him.May her soul find peace in Heaven.Heartfelt sympathy to her family. He should be arrested and jail him life long before he comes out and make another life to end.

This is shocking. So young and so cruel. horrible. Domestic violence specially against women and children is an enormous problem in India. This would not have been the first time he would have thrashed her. It is the first slap even in jest if tolerated and not taken seriously in the beginning can lead to more and more serious problems. No man is instructed to beat a wife. tolerating that initial slap begets more violence. Differences occur in a marriage and violence from either side is not a solution. Personal space should be respected. Whenever one sees violence meted out to the other person, intervention is a must. There is no justification of any sort.

Me too agree with Manohar's comments. Alchohol should be entirely banned. However, please tell me how will government survive because the excise from alcohol is the biggest chunk of income. BJP kangal ho jayegi...diwala nikal jayega. On other side Adani is being probed too by SEBI. Shares nose diving everyday. Kaun dega paisa...?

Sameer it shows how much poison you are vomiting on social media, in your state of Kerala it is communist government who is ruling not BJP, what is the use of being 100 percent literate state when you do not have love and humanity in you.
