Kasargod, Jul 20: Well-known orthopaedic surgeon Dr Nagaraj, and anaesthetist, Dr Venkatagiri, have found by experiments that recital of Mantras during the performance of surgeries gives rise to positive vibes in the patients and contributes to the success of the surgeries.
During this period Covid pandemic situation was acute, the doctors had got an opportunity to learn Mantras online through Sri Ramachandrapur Mutt Hosanagar. On most of the days the Mantra classes were held online, these doctors were in the operation theatres. Sometimes, when the surgery was on, the doctors used to repeat the Mantras. The attention of the patients too was attracted towards the Mantras and they too repeated them. This helped the patients to have a positive mindset and drive away fear of surgery. This fact was narrated by some of their patients. Some patients specifically wanted the Veda Mantras to be played and the practice is continuing.
