Bengaluru, Jul 19: Karnataka on Monday, July 19 registered 1,291 new coronavirus cases.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 27,527. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 266.
As many as 40 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Monday, with Bengaluru Urban recording six deaths, the death toll in the state has risen to 36,197.
The state recorded 3015 discharges from hospitals on Monday, taking the total discharges to 28,21,491.
So far, Karnataka has seen 28,85,238 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.94% while the case fatality rate for the day is 3.09%.
As many as 2,75,81,106 people have received vaccination so far.
