Mangaluru/Udupi, Jul 19: SSLC examinations are set to be held on Monday July 19 and July 22 all over the state. A total of 32,657 students will face the exam in 179 examination centres in the district. In Udupi district, 12,881 students spread over 77 examination centres have registered for the examination.
On Monday, examination will be held from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm in core subject. The children have been allowed to reach the examination centres at 8.30 am. The students will be sent to the examination rooms after health checks. Maintenance of social distance, wearing of masks and use of sanitizers will be scrupulously followed.

Chief superintendents, custodians, mobile seizure officials, local vigilance cell, route officers and discipline enforcement officers have been posted. Physical training teachers, scouts and guides have been given these duties. Room supervisors have been entrusted with rooms. All the examination centres are equipped with CCTV cameras.
Dakshina Kannada will have 2,718 examination rooms and 3,708 staff on examination duty. In Udupi district, 1,780 rooms have been allotted for the examinations. In every centre, four additional room supervisors have been deployed.
In Udupi, district commissioner G Jagadeesha, zilla panchayat CEO Dr Naveen Bhat Y, DDPI N H Nagur, assistant director of CTE Mangaluru Dr Cyprian, Udupi BEO A K Nagendrappa visited the examination centers at government girls’ college Udupi, board high school, Udupi, and S V high school.
On the days of the examinations, section 144 will be in force for a radius of 200 metres from each of the examination centres. Dakshina Kannada district deputy director of public instruction, Malleswamy, stated that for the nine corona infected students, arrangements have been made in association with the health department, to hold examinations in Covid care centres.
As many as 441 students from Kerala will be appearing for the examination in Dakshina Kannada district. KSRTC and private buses have been requested to see that the students are allowed to travel to their centres free of cost. In addition, four buses of the education department have been asked to be ready near the Talapady border.
Zilla panchayat chief executive officer, Dr Kumar, said that OMR sheets have to be marked in these examinations, and mock examinations were already held. Model question papers too have been provided to students, he added.
