Mangaluru, Jul 17: The preparations for SSLC examination are in full swing which is scheduled on July 19 and 22. As many as nine students have tested positive and facility has been made to write the examination at Covid care centre.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel chaired meeting at zilla panchayat on Saturday July 17 where a discussion was held on the preparation for smooth conduct of the SSLC examinations.
DDPI Mallaya Swami said, “In the district, there are 179 examination centres and 32,696 students will appear for the examination. Parents have been asked to inform about their children who have tested corona-positive and set to appear the examinations. As many as nine students have tested positive. They will write the exam at Covid care centre.
“As many as 441 students will arrive from Kerala out of which 121 will come via Talapady. Private and government buses have been arranged for the students coming from Talapady to reach their examination centre. We have urged to operate four buses at Talapady border. Nearly 50% of the students have demanded bus facility,” he said.
“The examination will be conducted on OMR sheets this time and as a preparation for the same, mock examination has already been conducted. Model question papers have been sent to the students. We have made all arrangements for the smooth conduct of the examination,” said zilla panchayat CEO Kumar.
