Mumbai, Sep 12: The latest gift to the metro from Malaika Group, 'Malaika Multi-Brand Retail' was inaugurated by Grace Pinto, managing director, Ryan International Group of Education Institutions at Santa Cruz (W) here on Friday September 10.
Speaking on the occasion Grace Pinto said that the cooperation and support of consumers was key to the success of business ventures. She applauded the contribution of Malaika Group in the field of electronics and said that it had set an example to its counterparts in the city.
The new showroom is the latest in the long line of electronics and consumer item outlets opened by the Group. The 10,000-sq ft showroom was blessed by the Archdiocesan Board of Education secretary Fr Gregory Lobo.
Aldel Education Trust and Model Cooperation Bank working president Albert W D'Souza lighted the lamp. Haier Appliances India Pvt Ltd president Eric Braganza also graced the occasion.
Fr Dominic Vas, parish priest, St Joseph Church, along with Braganza thanked the first consumers of the showroom and presented them with special gifts.
Fr Gregory Lobo lauded the business acumen of Malaika Group chairman and managing director Gilbert Baptist and congratulated him on his contribution to Mumbai's financial map as well as to the society.
Gilbert Baptist welcomed the gathering. Dimensions Group co-founder Freddy Mendonca, Altina Securites Pvt Ltd director Clifton D'Silva, Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industries working president Henry Lobo, editor of 'Divo' Lawrence Coelho, businessmen Raymond Lobo Mulund, V P Lobo, Shankar k Suvarna, Charles Patrao, Malaika Group's Joseph R Lobo, Teja Ravindra Shetty, Manohar R Shetty, Lovell Baptist, Joseph Pinto, Sushant S, Anil D'Souza, Gregory Monis, Alphons Corda and others were present as special invitees.
Len Fernandes compered the programme. Naveen Kulshekar proposed the vote of thanks.
