Beltangady, Jul 17: In connection with an incident in which a man had left behind his wife in her parental house and then fled with her younger sister, the Beltangady police have succeeded in tracing the two missing persons.
Complainant, Muhammed, had given his daughter, Sauda, in marriage to Mustafa nine months back. His daughter and son-in-law used to visit his house often. On these occasions, Mustafa used to behave freely with his sister-in-law, Raihana, during these visits. He also kept in contact with her over the phone.

Recently, differences had arisen between Sauda and Mustafa, after which the wife had started to stay with her parents.
On July 8 morning, Mustafa and his mother came in a car and visited the house of Mustafa's father in law at Kanyady Kaikamba. On that occasion, Raihana had left home with a bag in hand without telling anything to other family members. Muhammed had complained that his younger daughter had left with his son-in-law and that she had gone missing and not returned home.
The police who took up the investigation succeeded in finding the duo in Kodagu. Both were taken into custody and questioned and produced in the court. Raihana refused to return to her parental home. Therefore the court ordered her to be sent to the remand home at Mangaluru.
