Mangalore: Ban on Liquor Sale from Sep 11 to 17

Mangalore, Sep 12: The sale of liquor has been banned from Saturday September 11 to Friday September 17 under the jurisdiction of commissionerate, and from Saturday September 11 to Wednesday September 15 in areas coming under the district superintendent of police.

The move has been imposed to ensure that law and order situation is under control. It will also see that peace is maintained in the wake of festival season.

On account of Ganesh Chaturthi festival the procession and various programmes will be held all over the district for about a week.

    Good decision taken.It should be ban for life time.But people who will serve behind the doors sholud be punished & every one should celeberate their festivals peacefully.

    Very good decision. It should be banned for ever. At least family heads can concentrate on the healthy growth of the families. However it is seen, income generated on the sale of liqour at various stages is helping only taking bad decions.

    When everybody gets free liquor there is no need to keep shops open . mallya maybe losing money.

    liquor sale is banned in open and we can find the people still lying on road side by the influence of liquor. May be from the old stock it seems.
