I just wonder what these rowdies think of themselves. College is not the place for these hooligans who are making their study centre as a play ground. They should be rusticated with a warning letter stating they would face expulsion if they repeat the same.

We find most of the culprits are belonging to the neighboring state damaging the reputation of twin coastal districts. They often abuse the local students and several cases goes unreported by the institution. The money from GELF & peer power provokes them indulge in such activities. Just count the no. of such incidences reported in last 10 years. Send them to Jail somewhere in north Karnataka , harass them by other inmates. Let them know the power of Karnataka. No one should dare to abuse the locals staying here. We always love students and tourists who respect our culture, local people & languages. Mangaloreans often try to adjust people from other states by replying with them in their language. Ex:- "Cheta, Mangalapuram - Kolluru Moogambika bus ethara manik ?" Due to such unfortunate incidences and moreover, when those people stopped respecting the local people here, why should we try to reply them in their language? I never try to adjust those by reply them in their local language. I always use either kannada/tulu. Why cant they speak Hindi/English, when they are out of their state?

Hope this sets an example to the rest of the students and stop this act of ragging. Parents need to teach values and discipline to their children from a very young age. It’s too late to control such adolescents. Please apply strict rules in colleges for every kind of ragging from minor to major. This must stop !

Good job. These youngsters think that they can do whatever they feel like because they are in groups. Even criminal activities are carried out in the name of ragging. They should be taught such a lesson that no one dares to do any ragging in future.
