Udupi, Jul 15: Karnataka State Administrative Tribunal (KSAT) Bengaluru, quashed the suspension order issued against Manjula K, former block education officer (BEO) of the district.
Manjula was suspended from her service as BEO on March 26 earlier this year.
As many as six allegations were levelled against Manjula which led to her suspension. She went ahead appealed before KSAT stating her suspension was illegal and needs to be revoked. KSAT in its order dated July 13, 2021, dismissed all the allegations against Manjula and revoked her suspension order.
An auto driver named Ashok Kornagrapady had filed a complaint against Manjula K when she was the BEO of Udupi. But during an enquiry, Ashok admitted that he has not filed any complainant against Manjula and he did not even know her.
Speaking to daijiword.com, Manjula said, "Being a women officer, I was being underestimated. Many associations and organisations including MLA Raghupati Bhat has supported me in this fight. I am happy today and expecting an order from the principal secretary.”
