Bengaluru, Jul 15: Amidst concerns about corona infection, the state department of education is preparing to hold SSLC examination on July 19 and 20. Education minister, S Suresh Kumar, said that the department has mandated that the institutions should not deny SSLC hall tickets to students for the non-payment of fees.

Block education officers will take steps to ensure that the students do not face any problems during the SSLC examination. Students will not be denied issuance of SSLC hall tickets or the right to appear for the examination because of fee payment-related issues. Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has already issued a circular clarifying this point, he stressed.

Commissioner in the department of public instruction Anbukumar, has issued a circular, confirming that all the hall tickets were uploaded into KSEEB portal on June 29. The heads of institutions have to download the hall tickets by using the login code allotted to each institution. Anbukumar said that so far no cases of students facing problems in getting the hall tickets have been reported. The block education officers and other officials have been asked to see that all registered students get hall tickets. In case of grievances, students or their parents can contact KSEEB, he added.

Suresh Kumar said all preparations for the examination have been completed, and the chief executive officers of the zilla panchayats, district administration and educational officers have been monitoring the steps taken to hold the exams.

This time, SSLC examination is being held in a different way. The question paper model is different. For the first time, the examination is being held on the lines of competitive exams. Multi choices question paper and OMR sheets will be issued and the students have to carefully fill the OMR sheets. The minister said that the room supervisors have been asked to guide the students about the filling of OMR sheets. Result is expected in 15 days.
