Jul 14: Dakshina Kannada records 219 new Covid cases, 6 deaths; Udupi reports 129 infections

Mangaluru/Udupi, Jul 14: Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday, July 14 reported 219 new coronavirus cases, taking the total number of positive cases to 95,991. The positivity rate of the district is 3.52%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 11,49,960 samples have been tested, of which 10,53,969 are negative.

There are currently 1,933 active cases in the district.

As many as 235 patients were discharged from hospitals on Wednesday and raising the number of recoveries to 92,718.

The district recorded six deaths due to coronavirus on Wednesday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,340.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 98,20,267 in fines for 80,542 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 7,22,241 samples have been tested so far.

As many as 120 new cases were reported on Wednesday, taking the total number of cases to 67,889 out of which 932 are currently active.

A total of 54 patients were discharged from hospitals on Wednesday, taking the total recoveries to 66,555.

Coronavirus has claimed 402 lives in the district so far.

4,52,489 people have received the first dose of vaccination, while 1,53,761 have received the second dose.
