Discussions on for implementing population policy: Dy CM Ashwath Narayan

Bengaluru, Jul 14 (IANS): The Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, Ashwath Narayan, stated on Wednesday that the state government is discussing the implementation of the National Population Policy in Karnataka on the lines of Uttar Pradesh.

Talking to reporters, Narayan said that there is a need to implement the population policy in the state, adding that Uttar Pradesh is going in the right direction.

The matter is under discussion, though nothing has been decided yet, he underlined.

It can be recalled here that BJP national General Secretary and MLA from the state, C.T. Ravi, had put out a message on Twitter emphasising the need to introduce the population policy in Karnataka on lines of Uttar Pradesh.

Please implement this policy at the earliest. People will realize the myth created Muslims have more children and other communities have only one or two. but if implemented it should cover each and very department and individuals of any age group and specially all the legislators also. the law should be enforced on lawmakers first. lead by an example.

I think in Karnataka most of the parents in present generation have 2 or maximum 3 children irrespective of any religion, Population issue might be only in North India.

Even though this policy has been bought to target one partcular minority community, and to distract people from the hardships that are caused due to extremely bad policies and governance, if implemented, it will cause more distress to us hindus than anybody else. Also, what happens to families who already have 3 children?? And didn’ Modi once famiusly say that our population is our strength..????

The Indian preference for sons will lead to an increase in female foeticide if a two child per family policy is implemented. It is sad that the BJP in Karnataka has decided that implementing Ajay Bisht's anti-Muslim policies in the state will pay political dividends.

Very good decisiion, we need this. Lot of people here talk here saying this should have been done that should have been done first etc. They think that this will somehow scuttle a very good policy. Karnataka has population more than New Zealand.

Since 1960's to 1975 these policies were in the form of slogan and once Sanjay Gandhi introduced forced surgeries no govt tried it. But incentives are there to those who underwent surgery and abortions. In North India even majority communities have more kids too, if felt it is against them then they might vote out the present govt., but here the govt will get more votes as hard line supporters may think it hits hard at minority communities despite going through hardships like inflation and steep rise in prices of all essential commodities which is direct result of fuel price increases. Bill Gates too harping on fake climate change and depopulation agenda sounds strange now our govt is toeing his line of instructions, for him vaccines and abortions are weapons of mass destruction, is it part of the strategy by our govt too?

First discuss how to improve the life of poor people. Eradicate corona pendamic. Then only think about population. Indan youngest population is a boon for future development of country. Presently primary school s can't find sufficient children to start classes. If it goes on we will face the plight like Japan and china. Educated people knows how much children they need. No need of special law.
