Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (MS/HB)

Udupi, Jul 13: The murder case of Vishala Ganiga, resident of Uppinakote is still a mystery to the police. The flat in which Vishala’s mortal remains were found does not have any CCTV. In addition, there is no CCTV in nearby areas also.

The suspected murder of Vishala has opened up many answered questions. The investigation is being done in all possible angles. Four special teams including the Brahmavar police station were formed on Monday July 12 itself. This information was given by SP Vishnuvardhan to Daijiworld.

Vishala Ganiga

Brahmavar circle inspector Ananta Padmanabha is leading the investigation. Teams are formed under the leadership of Manipal station inspector Manjunath M, Udupi circle inspector Sharana Gowda, Sub-inspector of Udupi town police station Pramod Kumar.

The main suspicion lies in two possibilities of murder for gain for the gold she was having with her or the power of attorney of the property of her husband given to her by her husband Ramakrishna Ganiga. Two cups of coffee were found in the apartment where Vishala’s body was found. So it is believed that someone who is known to her had visited the flat. The police are verifying the CDR (Call Detail Record). The things confiscated from the apartment have been sent to the forensic lab for further analysis.

Udupi: Vishala Ganiga murder - One suspect inquired

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi

Udupi, Jul 13: Police inquired one person over suspicion of involvement in the murder of Vishala Ganiga on Tuesday July 13. He was later released, informed police sources.

Further, during police investigation, it came to light that Vishala Ganiga had messaged her husband on phone at 12 noon on the day of the unfortunate incident. In her message, she had informed him that she was in the bank and that she had ordered cake for the birthday of their child.

Rs 2 lac worth gold including Mangalasutra, earrings and bangles which she was wearing, are reportedly stolen.

The investigation also revealed that Vishala had the power of attorney over the property which was given to her by her husband. Her husband’s ancestral property was divided just a few days ago. The deceased along with her daughter were in the town in connection to the same property’s paperwork.

It may be recalled, 35-year-old Vishala was found dead at her apartment in Brahmavar on Monday July 12. She had strangulation marks on her neck, informed police.

Wearing gold is just a dangerous thing. Also she should have messaged her husband or father if some guest is coming to visit. If some one known person entered flat and having tea, there was lot of time to send one message. This incidence is warning to all single ladys staying in individual houses or apartments. There is chances, some unknown person following her closely and just to misguide police must have kept tea cups there.

Power Of Attorney (POA) is not at all a valuable document now a days. Hence one cannot use it for buy/sell of property, mortgage, Financial loan etc., etc., With POA one can deal with only petty things like applying LPG cylinder, dealing with electricity Board, Municipals/Taluk office Panchayat Brd/Post Office etc.,etc.,

It's really sad to see how people can be so mean cruel and shameless to murder a young mother of a small child. This lady has definitely been stocked for a while by known people who knew all about her and her whereabouts. Hope the murderers dont go scott free because there is hardly any proof for the same . Hope Justice is served finally.

Ironical, people spend lacs of rs for flat & furniture interiors, but hesitate to spend few thousands to install cctv. In this case if there was cctv, this incident could have been averted.

Abigail Monteiro Puccha,Sometimes people comment without reading properly and that comments too without any meaning.Feel pity for them. You are one of them.In previous comment too the same. Why you want to know why she is staying alone in apartment. It is none of our business why and what.It was only noted that she came to her apartment.Left baby with parents .Someone says he doubts suicide.God give such people some common sense.otherone say husband is in dubai and she stays in apartment.?I feel really pity on this tiny child now lost mother so early.whoever did this mother to take away and rob her whole ornaments ,money will not enjoy .Curse will be on him.Hope culprit will be soon arrested. She could have taken father when she was carrying so much money.I am sure some close relatives ?or someone watched her having good amount of money and jewellary.?May her soul rest in peace.heartfelt sympathy to her small baby who now have to challange life without mother ,and her family, husband .
