Beltangady, Jul 12: It is said that Dinesh from Subrahmanya Kaikamba in Kadaba taluk injured Somanath Kulal from Vivekananda Nagar in Laila village with a saber, duly demanding the hand of his daughter in marriage. The incident happened on Sunday July 11.

The accused came in a motorbike, gate-crashed into the house of Kulal all of a sudden, and chided Kulal's wife and daughter. He then threatened Kulal with the demand of marrying his daughter to the former. He then proceeded to hit Somanath in the head with a saber, but as Kulal blocked him with his hand, Kuklal's left palm was injured.

A neighbour, Mahesh, tried to strike a truce between the two sides but he too suffered injury in his hand. Observing that more people were coming there on hearing their wails, Dinesh is said to have left the spot in a hurry but not before threatening the concerned with murder.

A case was filed against the accused in Beltangady police station. Dinesh was arrested later.

We don’t know the whole story why Dinesh barged into Somanath Kulal’s house with a dangerous weapon and made such a crazy demand . Was he in some sort of sick and psychotic state of mind ,or dangerous drugs? Any thing is possible and he is a danger to the society and the police arrested him and taken into custody. That is a good thing. Until the whole true story comes out, he should be isolated in a criminal ward or jail during investigation.

Too much to accept such force and external force. Marriages can sustain with understanding and by the liking of each other never ever by use of force.

Looks like Promo Trailer... Full story not told. How can one enter someone's place directly and ask for girl's hand in one with a sickle in the other? Full pickle story should come out. In any case violent lover's are dangerous. We from 1944 Dilip Kumar's time were fed with tragic love stories only. It is only in these times we hear about violent love stories, mutual consent for parting ways after 15 years of marriage etc etc..Weird times, Covid Times we live in...Remember?
