Bengaluru, Jul 9: Karnataka on Friday, Jul 9 registered 2,290 new coronavirus cases.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 37,906. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally is 472.
As many as 68 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Friday, with Bengaluru Urban alone recording 12 deaths. With this, the death toll so far has risen to 35,731.
The state recorded 3,045 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 27,93,498.
So far, Karnataka has seen 28,67,158 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 1.48% while the case fatality rate for the day is 2.96%.
As many as 2,52,07,840 people have received vaccination so far.
