Former IPS officer K Annamalai appointed BJP's new Tamil Nadu chief

Chennai, Jul 8 (IANS): BJP President J.P. Nadda has appointed former IPS officer K. Annamalai as the new chief of the party's Tamil Nadu unit, as per a party statement on Thursday.

The vacancy arose after incumbent L. Murugan was inducted into the Narendra Modi government as Minister of State in the reshuffle on Wednesday.

Speculations were rife over Murugan's successor, with Annamalai and K.T. Raghavan being seen as the front runners for the post.

Southern states politics / affiliations entirely different from North - By and large Hindutva politics does not find much traction especially Tamil nadu -SOUTH MORE ENLIGHTENED -- PERIYAR - etc etc -- IN Karnataka slowly BJP losing grip - main Grass root worker --who built up BJP was HON CM MR YEDDY - who faces his own set of problems --- MAY IMPLODE next 6 months -- NOW only if Congress shoots themselves in the foot difficult for BJP in future -- Even AIADMK regretting for joining hands with BJP although they - AIAADMK --did not have much choice-

Govt. servants are not supposed to have political affiliations. The true colors come out when they resign or retire. One person from the costal districts joined BJP and another Congress, both had done nothing outstanding for the people, yet people had created a halo around them.

Annamalai might have joined BJP thinking that he will be able to do some service to the nation by cleansing politics from corruption. But little he knew that under BJP's rule corruption is already legalised through Electoral Bonds. People close to the ruling party can reach the levels of Ambani Adani in no time with the common man paying from his nose without even realising it. Congress was accused of corruption with false and fraudulent nerratives but not a single case against Congress despite ED, CBI, NIA and the State Police working day & night to prove the BJP's allegations.

This man had a unique place in karnataka police force who shot to fame within few years in service. He might have left police force thinking that police have to work under pressure from their political masters and it is better to join politics. As many know politics is not his cup of tea and he has join politics which is said to be a dirty business. No doubt, he will not succeed in politics. I suggest him to follow the footsteps of anna hazare if he wants to serve the people, at least he can become anna hazare of tamil nadu. Any one can become a politician but it is difficult to become anna hazare

Annamalai knows very well what's happening in politics,so he chose politics instead of a police officer. I wish him all the best with a request to be a good political leader as he was in police department.
