I suggest those are having Dish end antena cable connected to TV or home theater must disconnect. The cable from set off box at time of lightening or thunder. What happens is, thunder generate electric spark which dish end antenna receiver revives that spark & your entire electronic system gets short. I never realized this before, thats how my beautiful entire BOSE Set got short. I lost a set costed me over 4 lacks. Its advisable to take off electric plugs to save you & your house hold things. Be safe. This problem is not there in Bombay.

Jossey S Nallasopara,Bantwal doesnt have bad luck, but people too have to take care when lightening is there.First of all their house must be against lightening secured, and please put off main switch when severe lightening is there. It is practiced mostly in India.second when she is having earphones can be taken out during lightening .First see that your life security .mostly during lightening sit at a bank or wooden seat ,never on plain floor or near the main switch board. We hear many times lightening strucking to house in India.Thank God no person is injured.
