MLA Ashish Shelar slams Shiv Sena for suspending BJP MLAs with BMC elections in mind

Mumbai, Jul 6: Suspended MLA Ashish Shelar targetted former ally, Shiv Sena, on Tuesday for suspending BJP MLAs with BMC elections in mind. BJP MLAs have been suspended for for allegedly 'misbehaving' with the presiding officer Bhaskar Jadhav in the Speaker's chamber.

The BJP leader added that if that's the reason, then it shows Shiv Sena's fear and cowardice. "If they are so coward, how will they face us in the election? The suspended MLAs will work with double speed now for the party's victory," he announced.

Several BJP legislators squatted on the stairs of the Legislature building and shouted slogans against the Uddhav Thackeray-led government on the second day of the Monsoon session.
