Mumbai: Poetic conference held on Odiyoor birth anniversary

Mumbai, Jul 5: Odiyoor birth anniversary committee and Gurudeva Sava Balaga held a poetic conference sponsored by Jaya Shetty couple of Jaya quarters at Ayyapa Durgadevi Mandira auditorium, Nerul, Navi Mumbai.

Drama artiste and director Narayana Shetty Nandalike lit the lamp and inaugurated the programme. Gurudeva Seva Balaga Mumbai committee’s Petemane Prakash Shetty welcomed the gathering and gave an introduction.

Poets Tara Bangera, Somanath Karkera, Sharada Anchan, Ganesh Kumar and S Daya read two poems each created by them.

Shanishwar Mandira Nerul president Ramesh N Poojary, committee trustee and ladies wing president Swarnalatha Damodar Shetty, Ganapathi Ayyappa Durgadevi temple Manikanta Seva Sangha Nerul president Suresh G Shetty, secretary Mohandas, Jaya Shetty, G T Acharya, Kannada Kala Kendra president Madhusoodan T R, Navi Mumbai Kannada Sangha honorary secretary Jagadeesh D Rai, convener Adyapadi Guthu Karunaker Alva, V K Suvarna Padubidri, Anil K Hegde Perdur, Jagadish Shetty Panvel, Taranath Shetty Puttur, Girish C Shetty, Seva Balaga Maharashtra unit secretary Sachin Shetty took part. S Daya compered the programme. Adyapadi Balakrishna Shetty rendered the vote of thanks.
