Mumbai, Jul 3: Indian Railways is restarting the running of Mumbai Central-H Nijamuddin August Kranti Rajdhani Express special from Saturday July 3 in order to meet the demand of the public. This train will run daily now. Earlier, it was running only four days in a week. In addition, the western railway has also extended the trips of four pairs of specials trains.
Since March 2020, all regular passenger services of Indian Railways were cancelled due to lockdown announced during the first wave of the Covid pandemic. They were started in May 2020 but only in a phased manner.
Fully reserved trains will run as special trains as per the details provided by Sumit Thakur, chief PRO of Western Railway. They will charge a special fare also to the passengers. These trains can be booked on the website of the Indian railway www.irctc.co.in or in computerised reservations centers. Passengers are requested to visit www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in for the number of halts and timings. Passengers who have confirmed tickets only will be allowed to board these special trains.
The announcement from Western Railway said that the passengers have to completely abide by the Covid-19 guidelines given by the government at all times during their travel.
