Dr Heggade was speaking at the felicitation of teachers during the taluk-level Teachers’ Day celebrations held at Kinnamma Yane Gunavatiamma Auditorium, Guruvayanakere, on Sunday September 5.
“The grasping power of students has seen a steady decrease of late. Curiosity, thirst for information, and the ability to question is on the rise. Hence there is need for the teachers to keep abreast of knowledge”, said Dr Heggade.
He urged the teachers to nurture inherent talents of students and to guide them to progress. Dr Heggade said students should be groomed to be responsible citizens of our country.
