Bangalore: United Land Bank Moots NRI Co-operative

Bangalore, Sep 6: Even as the participants at the AKKA deliberate on Kannada culture and literature, a city-based entrepreneur has been utilizing the occasion to generate in investment of Rs 10,000 crore by non-resident Indians into the state.

Pradeep Kumar of United Land Bank, a realty firm engaged in facilitating land procurement and building has put forth a cooperative model for investment.

Pradeep, one of the sponsors for the overseas Kannada literary meet, elaborated his idea during his speech. As an exclusive land bank for NRIs, United Land Bank will pool lands with proper zoning, making sure that it does not get acquired by the government for future development purposes. With more than two decades of expertise in the field, the ULB has strategic associations with reputed architects, law firms, builders, developers, town planning experts, environment consultants, engineers and audit firms.

Beginning January 2011, United Land Bank will launch nearly 100 projects worth over one billion US dollars, with a gestation period of 36 months. Pradeep outlined the rapid strides that the Karnataka has achieved in the recent past, rendering the state a suitable destination for investment.
