Bengaluru, Jul 1: All the vice-chancellors of Universities in Karnataka have been asked to ensure vaccination of all students above 18 years by the deputy chief minister and State Covid Task Force chief Dr C V Ashwath Narayan, who also holds the higher education portfolio, on Thursday.

Holding a virtual meet with vice-chancellors, he said as per the schedule of the vaccine drive, these students are to be vaccinated by July 7, and added that VC’s should try to ensure vaccination of all students by the said date. The deadline could be extended by two or three days, if necessary, he said.

Students are being vaccinated as a priority group to facilitate the opening of physical classes of higher education classes, Dr Narayan said.

The date of opening of offline classes depends on the success of this vaccination drive and the state government is ready to extend all cooperation in this regard.

Dr Narayan also directed the VCs to work towards the implementation of national educational policy 2021.

Dr Narayan felicitates doctors on Doctors Day

The deputy chief minister, who himself is a medical doctor, visited the KC General Hospital early in the morning and felicitated all the doctors on duty by presenting flower bouquets and sweets and joined them in the celebration of Doctors Day.

Disregarding all formalities, Dr Narayan met and personally wished all the doctors as well as medical staff and patiently listened to their problems and grievances and happily posed for selfies with them. "I am proud to have been a doctor and participation in the Doctors Day function has made me very happy,’’ he said.

He complimented the medical fraternity on their dedicated and selfless work in treating people during the difficult times of the Covid pandemic.

The state government has allocated additional Rs 1,500 crore for the health sector for improving infrastructure, especially for the upgrading and improvement of primary and community health centres as well as taluk and district hospitals, he said.

Steps are being taken to ensure at least 25 ICU beds in each taluk hospital in the state, Dr Narayan said 100-bed hospitals are being set up in each assembly constituency and a super speciality hospital for every four assembly constituencies as part of the plans to improve health infrastructure in the state and provide quality medical treatment to all people at affordable costs.

Genius idea. Someone pls tell him that covishield gives only 30% protection after first dose. And against delta n delta plus variants, it's probably close to 0. This man is like Ravana for students.

As many students travel abroad for further studies, are these Covishield vaccines long distance or long flight travel safe? Or they add salt to the wound of these air travellers? Previously known blood clots issue during longer flights of air travel poses increasing risks with covishied jabs to both pilots as well as pax ? report at following link https://www.brighteon.com/4c5513aa-42fa-418a-a5b3-f92c42fb6777

There are reports coming relating to side-affects after taking these untested vaccines - heart, brain, kidney damage. But by all means please go ahead, vaccinate the children - after all the colleges are owned by ministers who care only about their personal wealth stream.

Are we living in China or North Korea? Under which country law the compulsory enforced immunisation drive is implemented? Wil the minister prove with evidence the existence of antibodies in the 2 doses of jabs takers? What is the amount reserved to take care of people who get vaccine injured? Does he wants us to file suit against this draconian dictat? Fake pandemic scare doesn't need any unproven experimental vaccines. All over the world data is coming fast of vaccine injuries and deaths, better stop unproven vaccine drive and end this menace. Please don't test our patience, don't cross the limits, we know how to take care of our kids. Stop dalali of vaccine industries. Vaccine allergic kids are at greater risk from vaccines than cold virus.

Are there two sets of medical professionals in the world? One set who follows Big Pharma, their media advertisements, also set their mindset and advice their people accordingly as per their guidance ? (In US some may have lost their license speaking against this communist chinese virus or vaccine) Other set gives dire warning not take the vaccines, such as, following set of around world doctors including UK (Please refer link) who are being censored by Big Pharma, Big Tech, media for their genuine health concerns of people with these vaccines and using alternative media to convey the truth ? Whatever the legal situation, vaccinating the students is a good move due to the prevailing situation. The academic work can start immediately thereafter with vigour.
