Udupi, Sep 5: Demanding the enforcement of anti-cow slaughter bill in the state at the earliest, the BJP activists of Kaup legislative assembly went on a procession in the prime areas of Kaup town here on Saturday September 4.

The activists submitted a memorandum to state governor through Kaup revenue officer Guruva Kulal. It states that the government has got the consent from legislative council to adopt anti-cow slaughter bill. Hence the state government has the prime right to bring it into practice. It also states that in 2005 the Supreme Court had given its judgment to ban cow slaughter.

The seven states in the country have already adopted the anti-cow slaughter bill. The people of Karnataka also should support for it so that the inhuman cat will be banned completely, urged the Kaup BJP activists.

Kaup BJP president Kuthyar Naveen Shetty, district vice-president Katpady Shankar Poojary, BJP leaders Sheela K Shjetty, Jagdish Acarya, Kollabettu Ravindra Shetty, Geetanjali M Suvarna and Jithendra Shetty among others were present.

i agree with u shahnawaz. there was a restaurant near to my place back in manglore. and most of the time, beef eaters were hindu. then why these people dont stop them. is there a separate rule for B.J.P supporters. shame on these people man.

@ Arshad I completely agree with you.
@ Soman : Muslim's don't eat pork for your kind info. and it's none of your business to force them. But many of us know Hindus eat 'beef'. They may not prepare at home but many Hindus eat in bars and restuarants with drinks and, even you may know that.They eat well and then start fighting. And this is the fact what happened in Kulshekar some years ago.

I think, if the BJP has to call it the "Anti Cow and Buffalo slaughter bill" then, they are also including themselves in this bill, that is why they are only calling it "anti cow slaughter bill".

We had 4 cows years back in our house. But so many people who believe cow as their God compalined against bad smell and mosquitoes. So we forced to sell all.

soman, Mangalore I think you are aware of many thing of rules and regulations while I am . secondly I vote every time and fully aware of idiotic BJP tactics and every day is not Sunday. If not for the BJP the Christian community in mangalore would be still sleeping and surely the credit goes to them. Secondly with regard to cow slaughter, India is a democratic country and it will remain so if you think BJP can use force then remember sooner or later BJP will have to change their name into FJP( Frightened janatha Party) while Saudi is a islamic country and I am not a citizen of that country. A citizen in Saudi Arabia will never wish to be Indian as it is a cradle to death welfare society. So think before you pen.

Secondly Majority Hindus eat beef go to any bar in mangalore it filled with Hindus eating beef and drinking, ladies included. These people are demanding to enforce anti cow-slaughter bill. It seems there is confusion about the controversial, "Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Bill 2010". In reality, Karnataka government included in this bill, buffalo, which is not worshiped by anyone. The reason for this inclusion is unknown. Therefore, I request BJP members not to mislead people by using title "Anti cow slaughter bill". At least you can call it as, "Anti cow and buffalo slaughter bill"

I don't think BJP party are "crying cow, cow" - i think they are "crying bow, wow", simply barking like dogs, but nothing else is happening...Yeddi has become a meek, tamed, emotional pet of Reddy...with carrot and stick treatment....When Reddy / Sushma Swaraj say "jump!", Yeddi can only say "how high" Reddygaru / Thayee?

What to do, we are all like this only...

Mr. Tom, cat or whatever the name. Sitting in Saudi what referendum you talking about. Throwing stone sitting one place realising I am not concerned with outcome. By referendum how many will vote for cow slaughter you can imagine, few like you. Of course you cannot vote in Saudi. Try forcing local admin for referendum on eating pork in Saudi.

Cruelty on Calves is pretty much same as cruelty on cows. Consumption of Milk and dairy products while depriving calves of their share, keeping the cows tied, using the bullock for ploughing and in bullock carts all amount to slow torture and worst cruelty on poor creature and shall be immediately banned. If the activists are so much concerned about welfare of cows let them let the cows remain free and stop domesticating.

In all these protests across Karnataka, I haven't even seen a single cow being escorted by the BJP activists on the streets. Why can't they take a few cows and make them walk along with them to give the maximum impact and emotionally spur the crowd by making a few go-mathas protest with them. This only shows how much interest they have in the actual protection of the cow. If they care for the cow so much, don't you think they must get a few cows in their protest - which of course, they will not, for obvious reasons. This shows how sanctimonious /fake they are.

If you really love the cow kindly adopt one roadside cow or bull and take it home. At least Mangalore and Upipi will be free from cowdung. If you cannot do it, stop shedding crocodile tears over the cow and put an end to these roadside thamashas.
