Udupi: Fr Stany Tauro Releases ‘Kannadada E-Loka’ by N Bhavanishanker

Udupi, Sep 3: Fr Stany Tauro, correspondent, St Mary’s Education Institutions, Shirva, released ‘Kannadada E-Loka’, a book about the internet and Kannada, authored by N Bhavanishanker, Kannada lecturer, St Mary’s College, Shirva, near here, on Friday September 3.

Fr Tauro commended Bhavanishanker for publishing the book which will benefit computer-savvy Kannadigas.

Dr Mahalinga Bhat, professor, St Aloysius College, said that the book is helpful as a guide on how to use Kannada in blogs, websites, online dictionary, search engines, Baraha and Nudi software for typing Kannada, and the like. The user-friendly pictorial descriptions will enable one to get the desired job done. It will enable one with a minimum knowledge of computers to do their assignments.

Ambatanaya Mudrady, president, Kannada Sahitya Parishat, also appreciated the book. 

Dr Clarence Miranda, principal, St Mary’s College, Shirva, presided over the programme.

A state-level seminar on Bhavanishanker’s video conference of his poetry was held on the same occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Bhavanishanker said that he had authored the book with the objective of incorporating Kannada in every aspect of the internet.  

Dr Padmanabha Bhat welcomed the gathering. Prof Gopalakrishna Samaga proposed the vote of thanks while Srilata compered the programme.
