Kundapur: Kandlur police rescue over 30 cattle from crowded house

Daijiworld Media Network - Kundapur (SP)

Kundapur, Jun 28: More than 30 cattle which were found to have been huddled together in a small house at Kudru within the limits of Gulvady gram panchayat were rescued by Kandlur police in an operation conducted late in the evening on Sunday June 27. The raid was conducted after Hindu organizations tipped the police about it.

The police took away 25 of the cattle with them during the raid. Five of the cows belonged to locals. Therefore they took away their cows on their own. It is learnt that the owners of the house where the cattle were put together in a violent manner had released some of the cattle after they got information about the police raid. Hundreds of Hindu activists and locals had come together at the spot. Kundapur rural (Kandlur) station sub-inspector, Sudha Prabhu, led the operation.

Hindu organizations said that the house where the cattle were found gives an indication that cattle were slaughtered there regularly and beef was sold. The leaders of the organizations also alleged that the police overlooked the developments even though they had information about them.

Even the members of Hindu organization are humans and may be feeling the nutrition deficiency and red meat is full of protein and good for energy building. Due to the present high price of Mutton Rs. 800 plus ? and chicken too expensive, good fish cost exorbitant price. What is left ??? chilli, sukka, fry makes good combination with quarter Old Monk or Khodai's XXX !

Flavian, Mangalore/Kuwait I am shocked to see your comments Sir... Cows give milk to all of us. They are being treated nicely in households. Stealing them, torturing them, illegally stocking them in inhuman manner, illegally transporting them with contemptuous state is not healthy nature. Hope to see much pragmatic comment from your end Sir... Due respects.....

Ahmed, Mangalore, "Eating stolen beef is definitely HARAAM"- Yes it is haram, only if the buyer knows. UNKNOWINGLY we purchase daily essentials from market WITHOUT KNOWING THE SOURCE. May be these essentials have sourced THROUGH illegal means/STOLEN!!!!! Someone does the robbery and sells the robbed gold to a jewelry shop. The shop resells the gold to a consumer, and we buy the same after paying the value of gold plus tax. What to do you say on this?? If some knows whilst buying the items/beef that it is stolen, and pays less than market rate, then he/she too answerable. This is a vast subject, cannot conclude in few sentences.
