Mangaluru, Jun 27: Weddings will be allowed in halls with strict Covid safety guidelines from Monday June 28.
Confirming the same, deputy commissioner Dr K V Rajendra told daijiworld that the number of guests at weddings will strictly be limited to 40.
Those who wish to hold wedding ceremonies in halls need to obtain prior permission from MCC commissioner, the panchayat development officer (PDO) and other officials concerned of the local taluk or gram panchayat bodies.
The officials concerned will provide a pass with names of 40 guests. Only one wedding will be allowed per venue at a time. Only those holding the pass will be allowed to attend the wedding, the DC stated, adding that the pass cannot be transferred to any other individual.
The DC also warned that owners of marriage halls, as well as organizers of weddings will face stringent action in case of violation of Covid protocols.
