Mangaluru, Jun 25: When asked about Congress' battle for the chief minister post, state agricultural minister, BC Patil said, "Congress is dreaming of coming back to power in 2023. We are confident that BJP will continue to remain in power."

"Congress would often criticize others but now the party is getting criticized. The party is battling for the CM post, before even coming to power, it does not make any sense," he added.

When asked about Ramesh Jarkiholi tendering resignation, minister Patil said, "Only Ramesh Jarkiholi can answer regarding his personal decisions where on some occasion he talks about resigning and on the other he goes on to deny it. As of now, nothing has happened that he should resign, he has been elected and it is better that he continues without tendering resignation. The probe in the case is still on, based on the outcome of the investigation, the party will take suitable measures."
