Bengaluru, Jun 24: Former corporator, R Rekha Kadiresh was hacked to death in Bengaluru at 10.30 am on Thursday, June 24. It is said that Rekha was a two-time corporator from the Chalavadipalya ward of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).
She was attacked while distributing grocery kits at Anjanappa Gardens. Though she was rushed to the hospital by locals, doctors declared her dead on arrival.
It may be recalled that Rekha's husband Kadiresh was murdered by four men near Muneshwara Temple in Cottonpete on February 7, 2018.
According to sources, it appears to be a pre-planned murder and CCTV cameras installed in the locality were found have to been turned away from the spot where the incident occurred.
DCP Sanjeev Patil and other officials rushed to the spot for the investigation.
