Udupi, Sep 2: Ayesha Hidayatulla, a resident of Mallar Guddekeri in Kaup, has complained to the district superintendent of police against the station house officer of Karkala rural police station, Sandesh Kumar.
In the complaint, she has said that Kumar, along with a number of his assistants, entered her house, pointed his pistol at the family members, abused them by using filthy language and threatened them of dire consequences.
“Kumar, who entered my home at around 7.45 pm on Tuesday August 31, questioned the whereabouts of my husband and sneaked into the bedroom too. When I asked him why he was doing so, he hit me, pointed his pistol to my forehead and threatened to shoot. When my daughter questioned him, he beat her up too, and then used abusive words against us,” she has said in her complaint.
She said the sub inspector then held the collar of her husband, Hidayatulla, and dragged him to his jeep. She said her husband was thereafter, dropped at her home by the policemen. She also alleged that the policemen had not been accompanied by any women police personnel at the time. “My house is located within the limits of Kaup police station. None of the personnel of that station accompanied the above team. Action should be taken against the policemen for having acting illegally and misusing their power,” she has demanded.
