Udupi to unlock from Jun 22, weekend curfew to continue

Udupi, Jun 21: The unlock is set to be underway in the district from Tuesday, June 22. However, a curfew will be in force from 7 pm to 5 am on weekdays. The authorities further announced the implementation of a weekend curfew.

Buses are allowed to operate, but can only carry 50% of their capacity. The passengers are not permitted to stand in the buses.

All the industries and factories can function. The shops can run businesses from 6 am to 5 pm. The use of air conditioners in the store is banned. The authorities have warned of legal action against the violators.

Wearing face masks and maintaining social distance is compulsory. Shop owners will be held liable if crowds gather at the shop.

Bars, clubs, hotels and restaurants can run their business without air conditioners. However, pubs are not allowed to operate.

Outdoor sports without spectators can be conducted as well.

Meanwhile, only a maximum of 40 people can be present at wedding functions and a maximum of five people can attend funeral ceremonies.
