Mysuru, Jun 16: In an incident reported from the city, an ambulance driver gave highest importance to his call of duty and rushed to help a patient, notwithstanding the fact that his own son had breathed his last in an unfortunate development, and the child's body was at his home awaiting funeral.
Mubarak, the ambulance driver in question, who is attached to the ambulance of the helpline, has come in for lavish praise from the people. His small son had died after hot water fell on his body. This had happened during late night hours on June 14. Even when he was grieving for the demise of his young son, he got a call from the helpline, seeking to admit a patient into a hospital.
The patient was to be taken from Sigma Hospital in Mysuru to Chamarajanagar. Mubarak immediately transported the patient as per requirement, leaving behind the mortal remains of his beloved son back home. The hospital staff were dumbstruck by his duty-consciousness.
Mubarak, a resident of Siddique Nagar here, works for Jeevadhara blood bank.
