Bengaluru, Jun 15: Karnataka on Tuesday, June 15 saw a further decline in the number of new coronavirus cases, with the state recording 5,041 new infections.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 1,62,282. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally has come down to 985 new cases.
As many as 115 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Tuesday, with Bengaluru Urban recording 16. With this, the toll so far has risen to 33,148.
The state recorded 14,785 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 2581559.
So far, Karnataka has seen 27,77,010 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day has dropped to 3.80%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 2.28%.
As many as 17,407,993 people have received vaccination so far.
