Kundapur, Jun 15: The second wave of coronavirus pandemic has created havoc in the country as well as the state. Many families are struggling to have one square meal a day. Entrepreneur Govinda Babu Poojary is doing his bit for society during this difficult time by providing food kits, water and shelter to the needy.

Govinda Poojary, who is a native of Bijoor in Byndoor taluk is the saint of the poor in the real sense. He is always concerned about people who are financially weak, destitute and orphans. Though he is an entrepreneur in Bengaluru, he always lends a helping hand to the people of his native village in times of trouble.

Govinda has distributed food kits to more than 4,000 families of the Byndoor constituency in the past week through Sri Varalaxmi Charitable Trust. He has personally visited the remote village areas and distributed the food kits to needy families. Every village has a GBP (Govind Babu Poojary) Janaseva Sangha. Through these associations, eligible beneficiaries of the locality are identified and food kits are provided. He has already given food kits to more than 4,000 families of 66 villages that fall under the Byndoor constituency.

Govinda Poojary’s service to society is not limited to distributing food kits to needy families. He has supplied drinking water to 470 houses of Uppunda and Tarapati areas in the summer season. He has already got three houses constructed for families who are extremely poverty-stricken through Sri Varalaxmi Charitable Trust. The house warming ceremony of these houses will take place soon.

Poojary has his business in the city of Bengaluru, he has also responded to the unfortunate plight of the Bengaluru people during the second wave of Covid. He has also distributed food kits to ASHA workers and BBMP civic workers.

Last year Govinda Poojary had handed over a house to a poor family in his native. He had also supplied pure drinking water for more than 300 houses for two months. In the first wave of Covid, he had given air to corona warriors as well as poor families.

Govinda Poojary is the managing director of Cheftalk Food And Hospitality Services Pvt Ltd, Cheftalk Nutrifood Pvt Ltd, Pragnya Sagar Hotels And Resorts Private Limited and Mathsya Bandhana Pvt Ltd. He is also shouldering many important positions at various organizations.

Appreciate the sense of caring and sharing of Mr. Govinda Poojari at this difficult time of pandemic. He is not only rich but he has a rich and generous heart. God bless him in million folds and may his tribe increase and multiply in billions. When it comes to donation and helping fellow beings, it reminds me a beautiful passage in the holy bible Matthew 6:1-6.18-18 Jesus said to his disciples: ‘Be careful not to parade your good deeds before men to attract their notice; by doing this you will lose all reward from your Father in heaven. So when you give alms, do not have it trumpeted before you; this is what the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets to win men’s admiration. I tell you solemnly, they have had their reward. But when you give alms, your left hand must not know what your right is doing; your almsgiving must be secret, and your Father who sees all that is done in secret will reward you.
